Uffizi Museum
The Uffizi is the oldest private museum of Europe, founded in 1581 by Francis I as the Medici museum. In the 1770s it was finally opened to the public and today it is the most visited museum of Italy where people can see more than 2000 paintings and 1200 statues. One of the most famous paintings is probably the Allegory of Spring by Botticelli, but also artworks of Michelangelo, Raphael, Leonardo da Vinci can be admired in this temple of the art. The museum is organized chronologically to let you understand the evolution of the painting during the centuries, starting from the 1200s until 1700s. The Uffizi museum is an experience that can not be missed during your visit to Florence.
